Today was my final work-out day for the week. I didn't lift at the gym at all this week. Ran outside most of the days...it's THE BEST time of year to be outside...crisp air and sunny skies. Today I ran 2 miles of speed interval training, abs and 40 push-ups.
Food intake:
90 oz. water
6 eggs - 420 calories
1 rice cake - 30 calories
1 Tbsp. almond butter - 98 calories
1 banana - 72 calories
2 c. coffee - 92 calories
1 c. hot tea
10 tortilla chips - 140 calories
1/2 graham cracker - 60 calories
1/2 brownie - 40 calories
salad w/ homemade tortilla - 250 calories (a guess)
total: 1202 calories

Weigh-in
Well, I've waited until the afternoon to post my weight from this morning...b/c I've been hoping that when I step on the scale...for the 20th time today...it would read just 1/2 pound lighter. Just a 1/2 a pound...that's all I'm asking for (this week) ;).
Anyway...it never happened...but the good news is that all 20 times that I stepped on the scale (before work-out, after work-out, after eating, etc.) it read the same number...I'm encouraged by that.
O.k., here's the numbers: I weighed in at 140.5 pounds. So...I only lost 1/2 pound this week...but I ate clean and exercised well so I'm happy.

running/walking routes
there is a great website that you can access to find out certain distances you run/walk. It's not as good as a wheel, but it's better than a Honda (especially if you run on paths or off-road at all).
Go to www.usatf.com
Click on "sports" then "road running" then "running routes" (to the left of the screen) and finally "create a route". I like to use the satellite to see the roads better...especially if I'm tracking somewhere I'm not too familiar with...it's just easier.
Let me know what you think!

Wednesday...
I know, I know...the last post was Friday and it is now Wednesday...but, I have been good...just neglectful here.
I weighed myself on Saturday and had lost 3 pounds. :) 3 down...16 to go.
Today was a good eating day, but not great...I had a latte from Starbucks. It's amazing how a little drink can throw you all off! I know the day isn't over...but I'm calling it a night (heading upstairs when the kids go up so I won't be near food...that's a good thing!)
Here goes:
54 oz water
6 eggs - 420 calories
1 orange - 59 calories
1 vanilla, non-fat latte - 230 calories
1 lara bar (organic, vegan) - 210 calories
1 rice cake - 30 calories
1/2 Tbsp. almond butter - 95 calories
1 banana - 72 calories
3 pieces of celery - 3 calories
1 C. coffee - 46 calories
big salad - 100 calories (guess)
1/2 red potato - 60 calories
3 carrots - 63 calories
total: 1388
No exercise today.

Friday...
Exercise:
Legs (good but not great w/out...will do more tomorrow), abs, push-ups and stairmaster for 30 minutes. Worked good and hard at the gym over-all today.
And then the kids and I went on a 2-mile hike (but wouldn't really count that as exercise...just a fun activity...except for when I was carrying Brandon...as he put it "how can you carry such a heavy boy?"--exactly, Brandon Pre!!)
Food:
85 oz. water
2 C. of coffee w/ creamer (this is killing me...I HATE typing that every day!) - 92 calories
1 grapefruit (fresh from the tree! Yah!! It's grapefruit season!!!) - 100 calories (192)
6 eggs - 420 (612)
1 rice cake - 30 calories (642)
1 1/2 Tbsp. almond butter - 143 calories (785)
vanilla latte (naughty, I know...but I had a free one so I got one) - 230 calories (1015)
salad w/ homemade tortilla (Brian wanted this for dinner again and it is really good, so I made it again) - 250 calories - (1265)
1 graham cracker - 120 calories (1385)
total: 1385 calories.
I have been losing a little weight...I'm going to wait until tomorrow to post a number as an "official" weigh-in. I will weigh myself every Saturday. I plan on taking Sunday off as a "free day"...and w/ that will be no postings of what I eat as I don't want to ever look back and feel guilty for having a reward day. I'm pretty sure I'll still maintain a pretty normal eating regime...but want to have the opportunity if I want to. And this Sunday will probably be one of indulgence...we're going to a Superbowl party and I will thoroughly enjoy myself while partying and watching the Steelers. I can't wait!!!! :)
